Propolis |
Propolis is a sticky mix of resinous substance collected by bees with their saliva, which is used to protect their hives against viruses and bacteria. The bees use Propolis to coat the walls of the hive, and the entrance to every section and any gap in the hive, to prevent putrefaction and invaders in the hive. In short, Propolis guards the bees' health!
Beneficial Composition of Propolis:
- Organic Acids - suppress bacteria and inflammatory reactions
- Flavonoids - main active ingredient in Propolis. Anti-oxidant for human tissues and cells, anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine. It also stimulate collagen synthesis and has functions to repair and rejuvenate tissues.
- Diterpene - most effective ingredient in Propolis for inhibition of bacteria.
- Trace Element - more than 30 essential and 8 non-essential trace elements for human body.
- Natural Phyton - effective ingredient to inhibit bacteria
- Other Nutrients - resin, fiber, folate, vitamin B, vitamin H and vitamin P

Themedical research team led by Dr. Lee ( of St. Paul's Medical University in Brazil) applies the most advanced Propylene Glycol USP method to extract from propolis fasels. Unlike the traditional alcohol extration, the extracted Propolis is completely water-soluble, 40% of the flavonoids remain( flavonoids content is more than 28mg/ml), and is 5-10 times more active than normal Propolis.
Assessment of the quality of propolis according to the COmplete German Commision E Monograph:
5 mg/ml - 10 mg/ml --------------------- Average Propolis
10mg/ml - 15mg/ml --------------------- Good Propolis
15mg/ml - 20mg/ml --------------------- Excellent Propolis
20mg/ml and up ------------------------- Premier Propolis
